Sheikh Sharhan Naser Tonmoy [1] [2] (Grandnephew of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman)[3][4] is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent Member of Parliament from Bagerhat-2.[5][3][6]

Early life

Tonmoy's[7] father is Sheikh Helal Uddin, Member of Parliament from Bagerhat-1 and cousin of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina . He completed his higher studies in London, United Kingdom. In 2015 he married Ifrah Tonmoy.[4][8]

Career

Tonmoy was elected to Parliament on 30 December 2018 from Bagerhat-2[9] as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate.[10]
