Roger Simpson (born (1967-08-27)27 August 1967) is an English former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He played at representative level for England, and at club level for Bradford Northern and Batley Bulldogs, as a fullback, i.e. number 1.[1]

International honours

Roger Simpson won a cap for England in 1995 against France (sub) while at Bradford Northern.[2]

County Cup Final appearances

Roger Simpson played left-centre, i.e. number 4, in Bradford Northern's 12-12 draw with Castleford in the 1987 Yorkshire County Cup Final during the 1987–88 season at Headingley Rugby Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 17 October 1987, played left wing, i.e. number 5, in the 11-2 victory over Castleford in the 1987 Yorkshire County Cup Final replay during the 1987–88 season at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday 31 October 1987, and played left-centre in the 20-14 victory over Featherstone Rovers in the 1989 Yorkshire County Cup Final during the 1989–90 season at Headingley Rugby Stadium, Leeds on Sunday 5 November 1989.

Regal Trophy Final appearances

Roger Simpson played left-centre, i.e. number 4, in Bradford Northern's 2-12 defeat by Warrington in the 1990–91 Regal Trophy Final during the 1990–91 season at Headingley Rugby Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 12 January 1991, and played left wing, i.e. number 5, in the 15-8 defeat by Wigan in the 1992–93 Regal Trophy Final during the 1992–93 season at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday 23 January 1993.[4]
