The Hamidabd College was established on 16 November 1979 at Satsia in the district of Dhubri South Bank of the Brahamaputra for imparting Higher Education for the students of backward region and char areas also. This Institution has also emphasised and encouraged for learning women section.[1]
Location of the College
The College is exactly situated at Satsia village, 1/2 Km. Distance from Poravita Bazar. About 8 Km. East from Fakirganj Police Station, the college is about 15 Km. Distance in the North West Pole from Tikrikilla Bazar (Meghalaya), about 22 Km. Distance in the West-North Pole from Lakhipur Town.[2]
History
The Hamidabad College is only the institution established 1979 with effect by the intellectual, leading person and people if the locality in name of Marhum Peer Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani at Satsia in the South Bank Of Brahamaputra of Dhubri District for imparting higher education. Where thousand and thousand of students have been completed their undergraduate course with the glorious result.[3]
It is immense pleasure and glorious information to well wisher of the college that after a log perseverance the college has been provincialised by the Govt of Assam with effect from 1st January 2013. The College is under the Guwahati University.[4]
Admission Procedure
Selected Students shall have to present themselves before the admission committee as per dates and times to be notified by the college authority. No application will be considered as valid unless it is accompanied by the attested copies of necessary testimonials (Marks sheet, Certificate, Photograph etc.). The application are asked to produce the original testimonials at the time of admission. No laminated original marks sheets be allowed. The admission schedule will be notified in due time.[5]
Reservation of Seats
In the matter of admission reservation of the seat (Quota) will be followed as per the rules and regulation framed by the Govt of Assam and Guwahati University.[6]
