Jewel's Leo Bars (1962), commonly called "Freckles", was a sorrel Quarter Horse stallion sired by Sugar Bars, out of Leo Pan by Leo. He was owned by Marion Flynt who also owned Rey Jay, a sire of producing broodmares, including Gay Jay, Jay Moss and Christy Jay. Flynt bred Freckles to Gay Jay which produced Freckles Playboy. When he bred Freckles to Christy Jay, the resulting foal was Colonel Freckles.[1]
