Sree Vishnu (previously known as Vishnuvardhan[a]) is an Indian Tollywood actor. He debuted with minor roles in Baanam and Solo. His breakthrough was in 2013 for his role as 'Royal Raju' in Prema Ishq Kaadhal, followed by Second Hand that same year, and Appatlo Okadundevadu in 2016.[1] In 2018, he was nominated for SIIMA Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the film Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi.[2]

Personal life

Sree Vishnu hails from Antarvedipalem in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh and currently resides in Hyderabad, Telangana. He completed his schooling from Bhimavaram and Amalapuram and completed intermediate in Vijayawada(Nalanda Junior College) and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management (Honors) degree from Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, Visakhapatnam. While in college he was a member of the theatre group.

He is interested in cricket, and in his teens he played for the Andhra Pradesh under-19 team.[1] Vishnu is a friend of fellow actor Nara Rohit and has collaborated with him in several films.[3]

Career

Vishnu acted in several short films. One of them, "Bewarse" directed by Pavan Sadineni, became popular on YouTube. His first film roles were minor ones in Baanam and Solo. In 2013, he was approached by Pavan Sadineni, for a lead role in the film Prema Ishq Kaadhal.[4] In 2014, he acted in Nara Rohit's Prathinidhi as a home minister's son.[4] In a review of Second Hand (2013) by The Times of India, the reviewer wrote that "Vishnu sparkles with his dialogue delivery".[5]

Following a few other minor roles, in 2016 he had a lead role in the film Appatlo Okadundevadu.[6][4]
