Coventry Health Care, Inc. (Coventry) is a health insurer in the United States. The company has three divisions: Health Plan, Specialized Managed Care Division, and Workers' Compensation Division.[2]

In June 2010, Coventry Health Care acquired MHP (Mercy Health Plans), an insurer with approximately 180,000 members in Missouri and northwest Arkansas.[3][non-primary source needed] Subsequently, on January 1, 2012, Coventry acquired Children's Mercy's Family Health Partners.[2]

In 2013, Coventry Health Care was acquired by Aetna for $5.7 billion.[4][5]
