Nicholas "Nick" Miles (born 13 December 1962 in Birmingham, West Midlands) is an English actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Jimmy King in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale.

Early career

Miles appeared in the music video of the music video of "Come Back to What You Know", recorded by Embrace, playing the role of a policeman. In a similar role in television, he portrayed the role of Chief Supt Guy Mannion in The Bill, starring in 13 episodes between 1993 and 2001. Before 2004, Miles made recurring appearances in guest roles throughout a variety of television programmes.

Emmerdale

Miles began appearing in Emmerdale from 19 February 2004, portraying the role of Jimmy King, as part of a new fictional family within the programme, consisting of Ken Farrington, playing father Tom King, as well as Tom Lister, Matt Healy and Charlie Kemp, who portrayed the roles of brothers Carl, Matthew and Max King, respectively.

Kemp left the show in 2005, Farrington in 2006, Healy in 2008 and Lister in 2012, making Miles the longest-standing and only remaining member of the original King family remaining in the show.
