"Express" is a 1993 song by British artist Dina Carroll. It is her fifth single from her first album, So Close.[1] The song was a notable success in Europe, peaking at number 12 in the UK charts. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 44 in June 1993.

Critical reception

Music & Media commented that Caroll "uses the Bowie trick of implementing a weird noise just beyond the irritation factor. Very Dina-mic dance stuff."[2] Pop Rescue noted Carroll's "whispery, sometimes sultry, vocals" on the song.[3] Adam Higginbotham from Select described it as "solid, tastefully-cut soul bleeding subtly into brisk garage beats" and added that it is "careful funky".[4] Another editor, Rupert Howe complimented the song's "aspiration towards funkiness".[5]
