Gerry McLoughlin

Gerard Anthony Joseph McLoughlin (born 11 June 1952)[1] is a former Ireland international rugby union player. He played club rugby for Shannon RFC and played on the 1983 British Lions tour to New Zealand.

He is also a member of Limerick City Council for the Labour Party. He was first elected to the council in 2004 as an independent but joined the Labour Party in 2006. His daughter Orla was also elected to the council for the Labour Party in 2009. In 2012 McLoughlin was elected mayor of Limerick. His son Fionn is also a rugby player.
