Sydney Allicock

Sydney Allicock (born c.1960) is a Guyanese politician from Guyana Action Party.[1]

From May 2015 to August 2020, he served as Minister of Indigenous Peoples' Affairs and one of the vice presidents in the cabinet of David A. Granger.[2][1]

Allicock was born in North Rupununi, Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo region. He pioneered Amerindian Heritage Day, which was later adopted as a national event.[1]
