José Arturo Rivas Mortera (born October 18, 1984) is a former Mexican professional footballer who last played as a centre back for Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz in Liga MX.

Rivas has spent the most of his career in Tigres, winning three Liga MX, one Copa MX and one Campeón de Campeones championships. He is nicknamed "La Palma" (The Palm Tree)
