The Men's vault competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom. The event was held at the North Greenwich Arena on 6 August.[1]

Competition format

The top eight qualifiers in the qualification phase (limit two per NOC) advanced to the apparatus final. Qualification scores were then ignored, with only final round scores counting. Each gymnast performed two vaults.[2]

The D score measures the difficulty of each element (and combinations of elements) within the routine, while the E score evaluates the performance, ie, the "execution, composition and artistry" of the routine.
