Ilya Aleksandrovich Averbakh (Russian: Илья Александрович Авербах) (July 28, 1934, Leningrad – January 11, 1986, Moscow) was a Soviet film director.[1] His 1972 film, Monologue, was entered into the 1973 Cannes Film Festival.[2]
