Heck were a British rock band formed in Nottingham, England, in 2009 under the name Baby Godzilla. They were forced to change their name after a lawsuit from Toho.[1][2] The band split up in August 2017, announcing a final show scheduled for 17 August.[3]

Musical style

Heck's musical style has been described as mathcore,[4][5][6] punk thrash,[7][4] thrash metal,[7] punk rock,[7] heavy metal,[7] thrashcore,[7] hardcore punk,[5] progressive metal,[5] punk metal,[7] stadium rock,[7] groove metal[8] and borderline grindcore.[7] They have been compared to the likes of Iggy Pop,[7] Napalm Death,[7] The Dillinger Escape Plan,[4] Future of the Left,[5] Gallows,[6] Pulled Apart by Horses[6] and The Chariot.[6]
