Samuel Marqus Lloyd Vines[1] (born May 31, 1999) is an American soccer player who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids.
Club career
Whilst with the Colorado Rapids Academy, Vines spent time with United Soccer League side Charlotte Independence during their 2017 season.[2]
On February 23, 2018, Vines signed a homegrown player contract with Colorado Rapids.[3] He was loaned back out to their affiliate Charlotte Independence on March 8, 2018.[4]
International career
Vines was called-up to the United States national team for the first time on January 2, 2020.[5] Vines made his senior debut, starting in a friendly against Costa Rica on February 1, 2020, becoming the first Colorado Rapids homegrown to start for the United States senior national team side.[6]
