Kohli is a Khatri clan originating from Punjab in north-western India and parts of Jammu in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The clan is a member of the Khukhrain of the Khatri sub-caste, the other seven members being Sahni/Sawhney, Sethi, Bhasin, jnagal , Sabharwal, Chadha and Suri.[1]

Kohli is also a Swiss-German surname, originally spelled Köhli.
