Eleks, also known as ELEKS Software, is an international company that provides custom software engineering and consulting services, headquartered in Lviv, Ukraine.[6] The company has about 1500+ employees[5] and operates offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, Estonia, Poland, and the United Kingdom.[7][1] Eleks was named a Top 100 Global Outsourcing Company by IAOP.[5][8][9][10][11]

History

Eleks was established as a product company in 1991 by Oleksiy Skrypnyk and his son Oleksiy Skrypnyk, Jr.[1][2] The company started out with the launch of Dakar, a science-intensive software for power distribution systems for Eastern European markets.[12][13]

By beginning of 2016, DAKAR became a successful product in more than 20 Eastern European power systems,[14] and the ELEKS team exceeded 800 people[9] and reached 1400+ in 2019.[1][15] As of 2019, more than 200 companies are using services of the company.[citation needed]
