Xaphan is one of the fallen angels that rebelled with Satan against God, and is a demon of the 2nd rank.[1]

During the rebellion,[which?] he came up with the idea[when?] to set fire to heaven before he and the other fallen were cast out.[citation needed] After they[who?] were cast out of heaven to the Abyss he has been continually busy blowing the embers of the furnace[which?] with his mouth and hands. He has a bellows as an emblem.[2][specify]
