Tzanis Stavrakopoulos

Tzanis Stavrakopoulos (Greek: Τζαννής Σταυρακόπουλος) (born October 30, 1971 in Athens) is a retired Greek professional basketball player. At a height of 2.02 m (6'7 12"), he played at the small forward position.

Professional career

Stavrakopoulos started his playing career at the age of 16, with Ampelokipoi. He led the team from the local ESKA category to the top-tier A1 professional Greek League.[1] In 1995, he moved to Panathinaikos, and with them he won the Euroleague championship in 1996.

The next year he played with Aris, and he won the Korać Cup with them. In the 1997–1998 season, he played for Le Mans, and one year later he played for Panionios. He also played for Dafni, Ionikos NF, Panionios (twice), and Peristeri (in the Greek 2nd Division).

National team career

Stavrakopoulos also played with the senior men's Greek national team at the 1995 EuroBasket.
