Samuel Kummer (born 27 February 1968 in Stuttgart[1]) is a German church organist.

Life

Kummer studied Church music at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. He passed his A-Examen [de] in 1997 with an award in Orgelimprovisation [de]. After working as Bezirkskantor [de] in Kirchheim unter Teck[2] he moved to the Dresden Frauenkirche in 2005. Since 2007, Kummer has been a lecturer for organ improvisation and literature play at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Dresden [de].
