Sangeet Marathi is India's first,[1] Marathi language television channel that plays non-stop Marathi music. The channel is headquartered in Mumbai, India and is owned by Media Worldwide Limited,[2] which owns three other music channels - Music India - a popular Hindi music channel, Sangeet Bangla - a channel that treats the audience to popular Bengali music and Sangeet Bhojpuri that plays hit Bhojpuri music.

As per December 2015, the channel has reached to an approximate 11 thousand households across India.

History

Sangeet Marathi was launched on 18 September 2015[3] as a Free to Air channel and is available across all major cable and DTH platforms as well as online.

Sangeet Marathi broadcasts a mix of retro, devotional, romantic, peppy numbers and contemporary music, catering to a wide spectrum of audience. Within a short span, since its launch, the channel has grown to become one of the most loved Marathi music channel among Marathi music lovers.

Sangeet Marathi is one of the most preferred Marathi channels for film and songs promotions by the Marathi film fraternity. It enjoys exclusive rights to some of the most popular retro songs that the audience can revel in.

The channel is India's first celebrity-driven TV channel and is headed by Deepak Dewoolkar[4] - a very well known face in the Marathi film industry. Owing to the diverse audience base and large viewership that it enjoys, Sangeet Marathi caters to a pan-India audience reaching out to youngsters and Marathi film industry fanatics.
