Gniewków [ˈɡɲɛfkuf] (German: Girlachsdorf) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Dobromierz, within Świdnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Dobromierz, 23 kilometres (14 mi) north-west of Świdnica, and 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.

Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration by the Potsdam Agreement under territorial changes demanded by the Soviet Union and the Polish communists. Most Germans fled or were expelled. Polish new-settlers, some of whom expelled from the Polish areas annexed by the Soviet Union, found a new home in the village.
