The Murugappa family is an Indian Nagarathar (Nattukottai Chettiar) family that owns and manages the Murugappa Group, a conglomerate with interests in bicycles, sugar, abrasives, fertilizers, financial services, and manufacturing.[1] In 2012, their net worth was estimated at $1.06 billion.[2]

Members include Murugappa Group executive chairman Mr. M.M Murugappan and former group chairmen, Mr. M.V. Subbiah and Mr. A Vellayan
