La indomable (English title: The indomitable) is a Mexican telenovela produced by Julissa for Televisa in 1987.[1] This story is a female version of a play "The Taming of the Shrew" by Bernard Shaw.
Leticia Calderón and Arturo Peniche starred as the protagonists, while Elvira Monsell starred as the antagonist.
Plot
María Fernanda Villalpando a beautiful and rich, but also arrogant and proud woman who lives on a large hacienda known as Villa Paraíso, in the company of her father Gonzalo and her friend Cristina. María Fernanda is engaged to Gerardo, but when she finds out that he is cheating on her, she breaks her engagement. Miguel Echánove is a young and humble engineer, who falls in love with Maria Fernanda's beauty after he meets her when he meets her. Though she is hurt by what Gerardo did to her, she does not correspond to Miguel's feelings, but decides to use him and marry him just to get revenge on Gerardo.
Miguel, knowing that he was deceived, becomes enraged and hates María Fernanda. He moves moves her to his small town and decides to make her life miserable, a situation that Sofía, an unscrupulous woman who has always been in love with Miguel, takes advantage of and will seek to retain him at all costs. But María Fernanda realizing the mistakes she made since she has truly fallen in love with Miguel, tries to show him her repentance and that her feelings for him are sincere. The road will not be easy, as Gerardo and Sofía will try to recover their respective ex-partners at any cost.
