Biography

After studying physics and mathematical physics in Germany, she defended a thesis entitled "Stability and motion of foams and films in confined geometries" at Trinity College in Dublin in 2004.[2] She then did postdoctoral research at Paris Diderot University in Paris, France. In 2007, she joined the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides at the University of Paris-Sud. In 2014, she obtained her Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches at the University of Paris-Sud on the topic of “A science of transition - from liquid to solid foams”. Since 2016, she is a CNRS researcher at the Institut Charles Sadron in Strasbourg, France.[3]

Prizes and distinctions

  • In 2013, she received the Irène Joliot-Curie Prize for women in science and technology for her experimental work and simulations of foams.[4]
