Engal Thanga Raja (lit.'Our precious king') is a 1973 Indian Tamil film, directed and produced by V. B. Rajendra Prasad.[1] The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Manjula, Sowcar Janaki and Major Sundarrajan in lead roles. The film had musical score by K. V. Mahadevan.[2][3][4] The film was a remake of Telugu film Manavudu Danavudu. It is loosely adapted from the novel Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.[5]
