Real Unión de Tenerife is the women's football section of the namesake club, based in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. It competes in Segunda División Pro. It plays its games at Campo de Fútbol Pablos Abril. It is also known as Real Unión de Tenerife Tacuense since it emerged after the absorption of Unión Deportiva Tacuense.

History

Founded in 1998, in 2002 UD Tacuense promoted to Segunda División.[2] Fourteen seasons later, on 22 June 2016, Tacuense promoted to Primera División.[3] They were relegated again at the end of the 2016–17 Primera División season.[4]

On 12 August 2020, Tacuense merged with Real Unión de Tenerife and was integrated into its structure. In its first season, the main women's squad will play with the name of "Real Unión de Tenerife Tacuense".[5]
