Resit Schuurman (born 31 March 1979, in Deventer[1]) is a Dutch footballer who is currently without a club. He is a defensive midfielder renowned for coupling physical power with great technique.

Schuurman made his debut in the professional football squad of Go Ahead Eagles in the 1997–98 season. He also played for N.E.C., FC Twente, De Graafschap, and Heracles Almelo before returning to Go Ahead Eagles. He was released after his contract had expired in July 2013. He was retired since July 1,2013.

In July 2009, Schuurman signed with Heracles Almelo, after his former team, De Graafschap relegated to the Eerste Divisie. Schuurman said that "Heracles Almelo is a fantastic club with great fans, and I look forward to play for the team"[2]

International career

Schuurman was born in the Netherlands to a Turkish father and Dutch mother.[3] He was a youth international for the Netherlands.
