American college football season
The 2017 Furman Paladins football team represented Furman University in the 2017 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by first-year head coach Clay Hendrix and played their home games at Paladin Stadium. They were a member of the Southern Conference.[2] They finished the season 8–5, 6–2 in SoCon play to finish in a tie for second place. They received an at-large bid to the FCS Playoffs where they defeated Elon in the first round before losing to Wofford in the second round.
