Nina deVries is a freelance journalist formerly based in Sierra Leone, where she covered the entire Ebola outbreak and also reports on other topics such as women's issues and the environment. She has written articles for Al Jazeera and Voice of America. Previously, she was a TV and radio reporter with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and a reporter for the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network in Canada (2006 to 2010).
