The Calgary Health Foundation are raising funds for enhanced technology, programs and services at the Foothills Medical Centre, Peter Lougheed Centre, Rockyview General Hospital, Women's Health and Carewest continuing care centres.

Since 1996, the Calgary Health Foundation has raised more than $246 million from donations, lotteries and special events. In 2007/08, the Calgary Health Foundation raised $35.9 million to help provide the resources for health care.[1]

The Calgary Health Foundation supports excellence in health care by encouraging, coordinating and allocating donations to health care priorities in the Calgary area. Funds are raised through a variety of ways – including hospital sites, estate planning and well-known special events and lotteries.

Reach!

Reach!, is a joint fundraising initiative between the Calgary Health Foundation, University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services. Through the gifts of more than 700 donors, over $312 million has been raised.

Launched in October 2005 and based on a strong core of community volunteers, Reach! set out to raise $300 million in targeted philanthropic gifts for over 100 projects in medical research, education, patient care, and public health and wellness.
