Story
When a freighter is sunk mid-Atlantic by an undersea UFO, Straker joins the crew on Skydiver to investigate. Whilst searching in the area where the ship was lost, Skydiver is attacked by a UFO and damaged, sinking to a ledge on the sea bed. Skydiver is able to launch Sky One that tracks and destroys the UFO in earth's atmosphere.
Each of the crew must take it in turn to use a single, faulty escape hatch that now takes 90 minutes to reset after each use. Barry attempts to use an alternate hatch but fails. Two crew members reach a rescue craft at the surface, but Lt. Tony Chin succumbs to his injuries.
Straker and Barry are left on the submarine - Straker dealing with his claustrophobia and Barry stuck in the inoperative escape tube. They finally manage to escape the sub when it is blown off the ledge and they can access unblocked missile tubes.[4]
