Significance

Temples dedicated to Saraswati are seldom found in India.[1] The temple is Tamil Nadu's only Hindu temple with Saraswathi as main deity.[2][3] Praises of the temple were sung by Tamil poets Ottakoothar and Kambar.[2][3] Vijayadasami is the most popular festival celebrated in the temple.[4]
