Eva Nadia González (born 2 September 1987) is an Argentinian association football centre-back, currently playing for the women's section of Boca Juniors in the Campeonato de Fútbol Femenino. She has represented Argentina at senior international level.

International career

In November 2006 González scored the opening goal as Argentina shocked holders Brazil, 2–0, to win the 2006 Sudamericano Femenino. She also shackled Brazilian star players Elaine and Cristiane as the Albiceleste simultaneously qualified for both the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2008 Summer Olympics.[1]

At the World Cup in China, González had an eventful match against England. As captain, she scored England's first goal by mis–directing a header past her own goalkeeper, then scored a curling free–kick at the correct end. Argentina lost 6–1 and exited the tournament at the group stage, after also losing to Germany (11–0) and Japan (1–0).[2]
