Oscar Chelimo (born 12 December 2001)[1] is a Ugandan long-distance runner.

Career

In 2018, he finished in 7th place in the men's 5000 metres event at the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships held in Tampere, Finland.[2] In 2018, he also competed in the boys' 3000 metres at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina and he won the bronze medal.

In 2019, he represented Uganda at the 2019 African Games held in Rabat, Morocco.[3] He competed in the men's 5000 metres and he finished in 5th place.[3] In that same year, he also competed in the men's 5000 metres event at the 2019 World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar though[4] he did not qualify to compete in the final.[4]

In 2020, he won the men's race of the BOclassic held in Bolzano, Italy.
