Adidas Cup
Appearance
The Adidas Cup was created in 1992 as regular cup competition to run alongside the Korean League Cup. The format for the tournament varied, from a straight league system with the top team picking up the trophy to two groups with semi-finals and even a straight knock-out competition. The Adidas Cup was dropped from the Korean league season for 2003 as the K League expanded to 12 clubs and implemented a mammoth 44 game season.
