Redouan El Yaakoubi (born 25 January 1996) is a Dutch football player who plays as a right back for SC Telstar in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie
Club career
Redouan El Yaakoubi played in the youth of USV Elinkwijk. In 2015, Redouan El Yaakoubi joined Hoofdklasser VV De Meern. With VV De Meern, Redouan promoted to the 3e Divisie . Different clubs where interested to sign him where in May 2017, Redouan El Yaakoubi opted for FC Utrecht under lead of the coach Eric Ten Hag. He made his Eerste Divisie debut for Jong FC Utrecht on 25th of August 2017 in a game against FC Dordrecht.[1]
After six 1st Division caps, FC Utrecht has offered Redouan el Yaakoubi his first professional contract, which will keep him 2.5 years with the club, with an option for an additional season.
On July 19 2019 the Defender made the switch from FC Utrecht to SC Telstar with a 2-year contract.
Personal life
Born in the Netherlands, El Yaakoubi is of Moroccan descent.[2]
