Boseong O clan (Korean보성 오씨; Hanja寶城 吳氏) was one of the Korean clans. Their Bon-gwan was in Boseong County, South Jeolla Province. According to the research in 2015, the number of Boseong O clan was 71162. Their founder was O Hyeon pil [ja]. He was a 24th descendant of O Cheom (Hanja: 吳瞻) who came over from China to Silla during Jijeung of Silla’s reign in Silla dynasty. He was appointed as Prince of Boseong (Hanja: 宝城君) because he defeated Kitan in 1216. Then, he began Boseong O clan.[1]
