Anel Ahmedhodžić (born 26 March 1999) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Allsvenskan club Malmö and the Sweden national team.

Ahmedhodžić started his professional career at Nottingham Forest, before joining Malmö in 2019. Later that year, he was loaned to Hobro.

Club career

Early career

Ahmedhodžić came through youth academy of his hometown club Malmö, which he left in January 2016 to join Nottingham Forest.[2] He made his professional debut against Newcastle United on 30 December at the age of 17.[3]

Malmö

On 28 January 2019, Ahmedhodžić returned to Malmö for an undisclosed transfer fee.[4] He made his competitive debut for the side against Helsingborg on 2 June.[5]

In April 2020, he extended his contract with the team until December 2023.[6]

International career

Ahmedhodžić has represented the Sweden U17, U19, and U21 teams, and made his debut for the Sweden national team against Moldova on 9 January 2020.[7]
