The United States vs. Billie Holiday is an upcoming biographical drama directed by Lee Daniels.

Production

Development on a Billie Holiday biopic was announced in September 2019, with Lee Daniels directing. The titular role of Holiday will be played by Andra Day, with Trevante Rhodes, Garrett Hedlund and Natasha Lyonne also cast.[1] Evan Ross, Dana Gourrier and Erik LaRay Harvey were added to the cast later that month.[2] Additional casting was announced in October.[3]

Filming began on October 6, 2019 in Montreal.[4]
