A. W. Jeffries was the second head football coach for the Doane College Tigers located in Crete, Nebraska and he held that position for the 1893 season. His coaching record at Doane was 1 wins, 2 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 32nd at Doane in total wins and 30th at Doane in winning percentage (.333).[1] He was a native of Michigan.[2]
