The Accelerated Mobile Page Project (AMP) is a type of HTML, optimized for mobile web browsing. The AMP-HTML uses special code to allow webpages to load rapidly when clicked on in a search engine.[1] After a technical preview, the service was launched in February 2016.[2][3][4]

Implementation

AMP is currently being used by several media outlets, including CNN, ABC, and Fox News. AMP is available for blogs hosted on WordPress upon installation of third-party plugins.[5]

AMP provides a JavaScript library for developers, while restricting the use of third-party JS.[6]
