The Air New Zealand Shell Open was a golf tournament held in New Zealand between 1975 and 1994. The event was the New Zealand Airlines Classic in 1975 and 1976 and the New Zealand Airlines Open in 1977. Titirangi Golf Club hosted all the tournaments from 1977 to 1991 except in 1979.
The event was played at four different venues during its run. It was staged at The Grange , Titirangi, Royal Wellington and Russley between 1975-1994.

In 1992 Price won the playoff at the second extra hole. In 1983 the tournament was reduced to 54 holes after the third round was abandoned because of heavy rain. In 1982 Gale won the playoff at the second extra hole. In 1977 Good won at the first extra hole.
