Albrook Mall is a large shopping mall and leisure complex located in Panama City, Panama. As of August 2015 it was the fourteenth largest mall in the world and the largest in the Americas.[2]

The mall was opened in 2002 on the site of Albrook Air Force Base, which had been a United States Air Force base in the former Panama Canal Zone.[3] It is located beside the city's main bus station and the Marcos A. Gelabert domestic airport.[4]

In March 2013, the mall contained 700 businesses, which received between 30,000 and 50,000 visitors per day.[5] As of March 2016, approximately 25% of the visitors are foreigners.[6] The mall provides employment for around 10,000 people.[5] Businesses included cinemas, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, travel agents, hairdressers, fitness centres, and children's play areas.[3]

On 13 March 2013, a fire broke out. While no one was injured, damage was caused to 60 shops, resulting in losses of approximately $ 15 million.[5] The damage was exacerbated by the lack of fire sprinklers, which had not been installed when the mall was opened.[5]
