Aleksander Jaakson

Aleksander Jaakson (29 January 1892 in Holdre Parish – 2 October 1942 in Sverdlovsk Oblast) was an Estonian Major General and the Estonian Minister of Education between 1936 and 1939 and Chief of the General Staff of the Estonian Army between 1939 and 1940. He was arrested on 18 October 1940 during the Soviet occupation of Estonia and deported to Sverdlovsk Oblast and subsequently killed on 2 October 1942.[1]
