Aleksander Vinter (born April 16, 1987) is a Norwegian musician who produces under the alias Savant and has previously produced under the aliases Vinter in Hollywood, Vinter in Vegas, and many more.[1][2] His producing alias "Savant" comes from the rare syndrome of the same name, which it is claimed has given him prodigious musical abilities and has allowed him to produce songs at an incredibly fast rate. In his lifetime he has claimed to have made over 10,000 songs.[3]

Career

In 2009, he released his debut album, Outbreak, under Vinter in Hollywood. Outbreak was nominated in the electronic music category for the 2009 Norwegian Grammy Awards.[4][5][6]

Aleksander signed with SectionZ Records in 2010 and released Mamachine under Vinter in Vegas and in 2011, Ninür under Savant.

In 2012, Aleksander went on to release a further four albums, including the Beatport chart-topping Alchemist, which reached the No. 1 spot for Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Electro-House, Glitch Hop, Drumstep, Indie Dance/Nu Disco and Overall.[3]

In 2013, his following increased as he embarked on two North American tours.[7][8] Between tours he released the album Cult and provided music for the D-Pad Studio game Savant: Ascent.[9] He also released a remix that he made in producer BT's house of Scatman John's "Scatman" with producers Au5, Fractal, and Prismatic.[10] His newest album Orakel was released on December 11, 2013.[11]
