Alexander Germanovich Burutin (Russian: Александр Германович Бурутин) (born 24 December 1956) is a Lieutenant General of the Russian Armed Forces. Used to be Adviser to the President of Russia in 2003-2007 and First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation until late 2010.

Alexander Burutin was removed from the office in the General Staff by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in November 2010 along with a number of other generals and high-ranking officials.[1]
