Alexander Petersson (born Aleksandrs Pētersons 2 July 1980) is an Icelandic handball player of Latvian and Baltic German origin, who currently plays for the Iceland national handball team and Rhein-Neckar Löwen.[1]

Alexander was voted the Icelandic sports person of the year 2010 by the Icelandic Sport Press Association.
