Alfred Eduard Hartemink (born 14 January 1964, Doetinchem) is a professor of soil science and Department chair at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, USA. His research focuses on Digital Soil Morphometrics, digital soil mapping and soil carbon. He is Editor-in-Chief of Geoderma Regional and the World Soils Book Series. He holds a Master of Science degree in soil science from Wageningen University and obtained his PhD from the University of Reading.
