'Ali Abbaspour (born 1950) is an Iranian politician and professor. He has been a member of the Iranian Parliament for four terms in Tehran. He is an associate professor of electrical engineering at Sharif University of Technology. He is the brother of Iranian former energy minister, Hassan Abbaspour.

Education

He did his secondary education in Alavi high school, Tehran.[1] He obtained his BSc in electrical engineering from Tehran Polytechnic. He then obtained MSc in nuclear engineering from MIT[2] and PhD in nuclear engineering from University of California, Berkeley with a thesis called "Stability analysis of a nuclear power plant by large-scale system Lyapunov methods" in 1984.[3]
